The Rotary Club of Karwar Seaside had the privilege of felicitating Mr. Shivaji Parashuram Madappanagoud, a distinguished athlete from Haliyal, Uttara Kannada, and his Athletics Coach, Mr. Prakash, at a programme held in the Office of the Deputy Commissioner, Uttara Kannada. Shivaji has brought honour to the nation by securing two silver medals in the 5,000 m and 10,000 m events at the Under-23 Asian Athletics Championships held in China. The club also recognized Coach Prakash for his dedication, mentorship, and invaluable role in shaping Shivaji’s successful athletic career.
