CLUB HISTORY
Karwar is beautiful city surrounding by roaring Arabian Sea on West and ever green thick forest on the East. It has got one of the most cheering beaches where poet Lauriat Rabindranat Tagore wrote his famous poems. It is really a memorable to enjoy the SUN SET sitting on the Sea Shore. It was beginning of 21st Century some good people of Karwar thought of organizing a new Rotary Club in Karwar Town. They wanted a good name and it was indeed “ROTARY CLUB OF KARWAR SEASIDE”. Thus this club was born.
The idea was materialized when Rotary Club Karwar which is sufficiently old one, has come forward to sponsor the new club by name ‘ROTARY CLUB OF KARWAR SEASIDE’. Young and energetic advocate Sri Balakrishna S Pai was the charter President of the Club with 15 young members. It was the day 28th June, year 2000 Rtn. M A Kittur popularly known as ‘BABA’ in Karwar locality was GSR.
